This is going to be incredible, you’re on your way to the family reunion at The Lakes. At first you thought there would be untold amounts of drama because you all have such varied tastes, but as soon as you booked your lodge it all seemed to fall into place.
True, your Lake District holiday is an annual family tradition, but this time you’re doing things differently by taking most meals together as a family, then letting each go on to do their own thing. Let’s face it, Uncle James is all about fishing, your mum love shopping… and if you don’t get the chance to hike Scafell Pike you’ll most likely lose your mind. But the beautiful thing is that you can all be happy individuals and then come back together to share your adventures. Plus you’re all in agreement about the boat trip!
Before so many options become available it seemed as if you would be forced into the same old holiday pattern every single year. The reunion started to seem like an obligation, instead of the happy occasion it was meant to be. But it’s great to have gotten to this place in life – where the family can happily agree to disagree, if you will. You all get to follow your bliss during the day, to return supremely happy with your individual choices. Sure beats when you were kids and forced to go shopping all day, that was bleak. And the entire family agrees that the fresh air and the surrounding mountains just does so much to create a sense of well-being and tranquility. Life is good.
